Usually, it protects the system from all kinds of threats, but you’d want to keep the real-time protection of windows defender on.


So, you’d need to know about the settings to turn on real-time protection. To turn on windows defender real-time protection, you must follow these steps.

  • First, you need to open the Windows defender app from the settings or by typing windows security on the search.

  • Then, click on the Virus and Threat protection option in the window.

  • Now, you need to click on the Virus and threat protection setting option.

  • Now, you can turn on or off the real-time protection with the toggle switch.


Once you’ve completed the steps, the system will be protected from all kinds of threats.
